Armstrong Tax & Advisory is a North Richland Hills firm built on responsiveness, consistency, and treating clients like individuals — not case numbers.
Enrolled Agent & Tax Advisor, Armstrong Tax & Advisory
I'm an Enrolled Agent federally authorized to represent taxpayers before the IRS, and for more than 15 years I've helped individuals, families, and small business owners navigate the tax system with confidence. My clients range from W-2 employees with increasingly complex returns to business owners, real estate investors, and professionals who need thoughtful tax guidance throughout the year—not just during filing season.
I founded Armstrong Tax & Advisory around a simple idea: tax advice should be personal.
That means I take the time to understand your situation before offering recommendations. It means you'll receive straightforward answers in plain English instead of technical jargon. And it means that when questions arise during the year, you'll hear back from me—not a call center, an assistant, or someone who has never seen your file.
My approach is conservative where the law requires it and proactive where planning creates value. I believe good tax advice isn't about taking aggressive positions or chasing every deduction someone mentions online. It's about understanding the law, applying sound judgment, and helping clients make informed decisions that stand up to scrutiny.
Just as importantly, I'll tell you when something falls outside my expertise. No tax professional knows everything, and I believe clients are better served by honest guidance and appropriate referrals than by someone pretending to be an expert in every area of tax law.
Whether you need a tax return prepared, help planning for the future, or guidance through a complicated tax issue, my goal is always the same: to provide clear advice, responsive service, and the peace of mind that comes from knowing your taxes are being handled carefully and correctly.
An Enrolled Agent (EA) is a federally licensed tax professional authorized by the U.S. Department of the Treasury. Enrolled Agents are the only tax professionals licensed directly by the IRS, and we're authorized to represent taxpayers before the IRS in all matters — including audits, collections, and appeals.
EAs specialize exclusively in taxation. There's a great deal of overlap between tax-focused CPAs and Enrolled Agents — both are highly qualified to prepare returns, offer tax planning, and represent clients before the IRS. For the vast majority of individuals and small businesses, an EA delivers exactly the expertise you need.
We built this firm around the things most tax practices get wrong.
You work directly with Paul every year — not a different preparer who has to relearn your situation each season.
